چکیده
Aim: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the efficacy and safety complications following combined pars plana vitrectomy phacoemulsification surgery eyes for management vitreous hemorrhage due proliferative diabetic retinopathy as well pronounced cataracts.
Material Method: Phacoemulsification 23G procedures were performed cataracts. Age, gender, best-corrected visual acuity before after surgery, intra- post-operative recorded in patients with cataracts who underwent hemorrhage.
Results: A total 40 patients, 22 females (55%) 18 males, included study. mean age 58.7±7.1 (44–76) years. Logmar changed from a 2.82±0.5 preoperatively 0.7±0.6 postoperatively. Visual increased 38 (95%) No reduction observed any eye. Complications associated transient intraocular pressure increase (12 eyes), hyphema (2 posterior capsule rupture (1 eye), anterior chamber fibrin exudation (4 neovascular glaucoma retinal detachment opacification eyes).
Conclusion: It found that PPV safe effective retinopathy. Combined phaco-vitrectomy is reliable method minimum complication profile prevents need subsequent cataract surgery.

BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVE To investigate the optimal technique for repairing recurrent rhegmatogenous retinal detachments. PATIENTS AND METHODS A 2-year retrospective review of recurrent rhegmatogenous retinal detachments by 23-gauge pars plana vitrectomy (PPV) or combined 23-gauge PPV with encircling scleral buckling was performed. The primary outcome was anatomical success. The secondary out...

PURPOSE To report the outcomes of pars plana vitrectomy (PPV) and intravitreal phacoemulsification in patients with dropped nuclei/nuclear fragments following complicated cataract surgery. METHODS In this retrospective case series, charts of patients who had undergone PPV and intravitreal phacoemulsification for removal of dislocated nuclei/lens fragments were reviewed. After standard PPV, a ...
